Personal Development Center Inc. (PDC/PDC Orenda Center) was founded in 1972 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1977. PDC was a non-residential victim service agency for our first 40 years in operation; services focused on strong collaborative partnerships with community agencies/organizations to ensure the immediate safety of victims and children in crisis. In 2018, PDC moved into our shelter facility and expanded programming to include on-site immediate/ emergent safety and transitional services for victims. PDC is dedicated to the safety and empowerment of those impacted by domestic abuse, dating violence, sexual assault, harassment, stalking, trafficking, and child physical/emotional/sexual and/or witnesses to abuse. Our mission is to assist those in distress by identifying options and resources, promoting safety, building hope, and strengthening individuals, families, and our community through case management, advocacy and education.
